Most bases provided a wide variety of services that are offered at a very
inexpensive rate. Below are some of the best places to check out:

1. Cinderella’s Closet

Here, you can find dresses for formal occasions, typically free on loan, or for a small charge.

2. Thrift Store

From gently used items, to even never-before worn or used things, you can find a variety of clothing, household items, and more for a great discount!

3. Airman’s Attic

Completely free items that are donated by other Airmen, you can also find gently used clothing, household goods, books, and even uniforms!

4. Auto Hobby Shop

Allows access tools/facilities for free or a small charge. Some also offer discounted oil changes or other car repair services. If you are at a base where winter driving is required, some even provide winterized car checks.

5. Outdoor Recreation

Looking to go on a family vacation on a budget? Outdoor rec has numerous options for renting equipment for activities such as canoeing, camping, skiing, snowboarding, and more. Many even have options to rent day-to-day equipment such as lawnmowers and snow removal.

6. Base Theater

A great way to see the latest movies with your family for a fraction of the cost.

7. Bowling Alley

Take a night out with the kids, or enjoy bowling in a league for prices that are much cheaper than the options in town.

8. Arts & Crafts Center

Before you roll your eyes, there are some incredible items for purchase in the arts & crafts center. Many offer personalized items such as pens, plaques, cases, and much more. It’s also a great place to get gifts for going away parties, birthdays, and more.
